台風18号上陸、各地で大雨 40万人近くに避難指示

 

大型の台風18号は9月16日、紀伊半島沖を北上、午前8時前に愛知県豊橋市付近に上陸した。

 

近畿を中心に広い範囲で大雨となり、気象庁は午前5時5分、福井県、京都府の全域、滋賀県のほぼ全域に大雨特別警報を発表。

 

「これまでに経験したことのないような大雨になっている」として、最大級の警戒を呼び掛けた。

 

8月30日の運用開始以来、特別警報の発表は初めて。

 

気象庁は午前10時前、京都府の特別警報を解除した。

 

京都市や京都府福知山市、宇治市のほか、滋賀、兵庫両県などでも避難指示が相次ぎ、対象者は40万人近くに上った。

 

広い範囲で避難勧告も相次いだ。
