Mehr als 50 Menschen starben bei dem Unglück - dem schwersten in dem baltischen Land nach seiner Unabhängigkeit von der Sowjetunion 1991.

 

A nation in mourning

 

After the collapse of a supermarket roof on the outskirts of Riga, a three-day state mourning has begun in Latvia.

 

More than 50 people died in the disaster - the worst in the Baltic country after its independence from the Soviet Union in 1991.
