Londres — Le prince William s'est improvisé pop star mardi soir en poussant la chansonnette aux côtés de Jon Bon Jovi et Taylor Swift lors d'un gala de charité à Londres, esquissant même quelques timides déhanchements.

 

William, deuxième dans l'ordre de succession au trône, est monté sur scène avec la chanteuse de country Taylor Swift pour rejoindre Bon Jovi qui interprétait à la guitare son tube "Livin' On A Prayer".

 

La performance royale a été accueillie par des applaudissements nourris du public réuni ce soir-là au palais de Kensington pour une soirée de gala de l'association d'aide aux sans-abri Centrepoint, dont William est le parrain.

 

Le prince, 31 ans, costume noir et noeud papillon, a chanté avec entrain les refrains au micro, se tenant le reste du temps les mains serrées devant lui, marquant le rythme de légers mouvements de tête et de jambes.

 

En cours de performance, le jeune homme a même tapé dans les mains de Taylor Swift, qui dans sa robe crème, montrait plus d'exubérance.

 

"Des nuits comme ça arrivent une fois dans une vie", a déclaré Bon Jovi au public.

 

Le chanteur américain s'est vu remettre un prix par le prince William pour son action en faveur des pauvres et des sans-abri, dans le cadre de sa Soul Foundation créée en 2006.

Their Royal Highness Prince William, second in line of succession to the Throne, took the stage with country singer Taylor Swift to join Bon Jovi on guitar who played his hit "Livin' On A Prayer".
