Tour de France, 20e étape : Derrière Froome, Quintana et Rodriguez montent sur le podium

Le Colombien Nairo Quintana a remporté la 20e étape de ce Tour de France 2013 devant l'Espagnol Joaquin Rodriguez et le maillot jaune Christopher Froome.

 

Les trois coureurs devraient se retrouver demain sur le podium de cette 100e édition de la Grande boucle.

 

Alberto Contador est le battu du jour.

 

Tiercé dans le désordre pour l'arrivée de cette 20e et avant-dernière étape du Tour de France entre Annecy et Annecy-Semnoz.

 

Nairo Quintana a devancé Joaquin Rodriguez et Christopher Froome pour cette dernière virée de 125 kilomètres en altitude.

 

Le coureur Movistar, maillot blanc du meilleur jeune, a passé la ligne en haut du col de Semnoz pour la première victoire colombienne sur les routes du Tour depuis 2007.

 

Mais au-delà de l'anecdote, cette avant-dernière étape a été déterminante pour l'arrivée sur les Champs-Elysées.

 

Sauf surprise, on devrait retrouver ces trois coureurs sur le podium du Tour.

 

Si Christopher Froome a une nouvelle fois montré qu'il était intouchable cette année, Quintana et Rodriguez se sont emparés de la deuxième et troisième place du classement général.

 

L'Espagnol Alberto Contador est le grand vaincu du jour.

 

Dauphin de Froome sur la ligne de départ, il est désormais quatrième.

 

L'ancien vainqueur du Tour n'a pas été capable de répondre à l'attaque du maillot jaune.

 

Il a perdu deux minutes et demi dans les cinq derniers kilomètres de la montée.

 

Une question de maillot

 

Au-delà du classement général.. il s'agissait aussi de savoir qui arriverait à Paris avec le statut de meilleur grimpeur.

 

Pierre Rolland s'est vite montré intéressé en lançant l'échappée du jour.

 

Mais le coureur Europcar n'a pas pu creuser un écart suffisant.

 

Le Français s'est effondré dans la dernière montée.

 

C'est donc Quintana qui endossera le maillot à pois par-dessus son maillot blanc de meilleur jeune.

 

Il n'existe pas de maillot "du meilleur sénior".

 

Mais Jens Voigt peut se consoler avec celui du combatif du jour.

 

L'Allemand de 41 ans a fait une bonne partie de cette étape en tête.

 

Il est passé seul en haut de l'avant-dernière difficulté avec 3 minute 40 d'avance sur le peloton.

 

Mais lui non plus n'a pas pu résister et s'est faire reprendre à 8,5 kilomètres de la ligne d'arrivée.

 

Pas de grosse surprise attendue demain dimanche pour l'étape "de gala" de ce Tour de France 2013.

 

Une formalité de 133,5 km entre Versailles et Paris.

The Colombian Nairo Quintana won the 20th stage of the 2013 Tour de France ahead of Spaniard Joaquin Rodriguez and the yellow jersey Christopher Froome.

 

The three riders should meet tomorrow on the podium of the 100th edition of the Great Loop.

 

Alberto Contador is the beat of the day.

 

Trifecta in disarray for the arrival of the 20th and penultimate stage of the Tour de France between Annecy and Annecy Semnoz.

 

Nairo Quintana beat Joaquin Rodriguez and Christopher Froome for this last trip of 125 km in altitude.

 

The Movistar rider, white jersey of best young rider, crossed the line at the top of neck Semnoz for the first Colombian victory over the roads of the Tour since 2007.

 

But beyond the anecdotal, the penultimate step was crucial to the finish on the Champs-Elysées.

 

Except surprise, we should find these three riders on the podium of the Tour.

 

If Christopher Froome has once again shown that he was untouchable this year, Quintana and Rodriguez took over the second and third place overall.

 

Spaniard Alberto Contador is the great loser of the day.

 

Dolphin Froome on the starting line, it is now fourth.

 

The former winner of the Tour was not able to respond to the attack of the yellow jersey.

 

He lost two and a half minutes in the last five kilometers of the climb.

 

A question of Jersey

 

Beyond overall .. it was also about who would come to Paris with the status of best climber.

 

Pierre Rolland was quickly shown interest in launching the breakaway.

 

Europcar rider but could not dig a sufficient distance.

 

The French collapsed in the last climb.

 

So Quintana endorse the polka dot jersey over his white jersey of best young rider.

 

There is no swimsuit "Best Senior."

 

But Jens Voigt can console themselves with the day's fighting.

 

The German 41-year-old made a good part of this step in mind.

 

He went alone to the top of the penultimate difficulty with 3 minutes 40 ahead of the pack.

 

But he too could not resist and was to resume at 8.5 kilometers from the finish line.

 

No big expected tomorrow Sunday to step "gala" of the Tour de France 2013 surprise.
